Do What You Love – Love What You Do
Many people complain about their daily activities. Those complaints are a result of dis-satisfaction, which leads to unhappiness. It is caused by a negative mindset. They drag themselves to their dayjobs or to do household chores. They feel bad for themselves and always look forward to the moment, when they can finish for the day and do something else. In order to get out of this situation they either need to change their circumstances, for example by getting a different job, they really like to do, or by changing their attitude. Some things we can’t really run away from, such as cleaning the house, doing the laundry, etc, unless we get wealthy enough to pay others to do it for us.
Usually it’s best to either start doing what we love or to start loving what we do – or a combination of both.
If you need to accomplish something you have two options:
- Do it cheefully
- Do it grudgingly.
Which choice will be more fun and pleasent for you?
The answer is easy. If you actively choose to do it cheerfully, you will feel better, most likely you will get a better result and the time will fly faster. Chances are, you will accomplish your task quicker as well, so you can get earlier to do something you really enjoy.
I remember this quote from the movie Mary Poppins:
In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun, and – SNAP – the job’s a game!
This is so true. It all depends on the right attitude. If you decide to love what you do, it will be so much easier. And if you can even manage to start doing, what you really love, life will start to be really good.
